I've decided to have the operation. I haven't contacted the surgeon yet, I'll do that next week. I don't know why I was even considered not having it when I think about the pain I was in and the distress it caused my family.
This blog, my first and only one, started as a diary of my wonderful retirement, but very quickly became an account of my ups and downs with trigeminal neuralgia. If you do read it, don't feel sorry for me. There are people whose condition is much worse than mine. I'll let you know when to feel sorry for me.
Well, I hope the surgery works. I have been on tegretol now for a while and I guess it kinda works. But I still do get pain, just not as often.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the surgery
THANK YOU For this blog. I have had this disease for 9 months now, and I am still trying to decide what to do. I am from Yosemite area in california. Tegratol does help but does not take away the boring pain on one side. Have not had the serious attacks in 2 months. Good Luck to you!
